‘How to Turn Life’s Moments into Life Momentum.’

SEIZE and SAVOR ‘SPIRIT MOMENTS’ as ‘LIFE MEMORY MOMENTS!!’
Life has Many ‘Seize the Moment’ Times. Yet, there are None More Significant Within Your Life than Your ‘Spirit Moments.’ Sensitivity to a ‘Spirit Moment’ amidst a Day of Every Kind of ‘Natural Moments’ is Crucial. ‘Spirit Moments’ must Be Seized and Cherished. In the Moment, the Works of the Spirit can Seem to Happen Naturally. Yet, when Seized for Their Significance, they are a Supernatural God Working Supernaturally THROUGH You and IN You!!
I shared recently with some of my family a story I learned of my unassuming Norwegian Grandmother. As a young woman, she was running across a field in the midst of a great thunderstorm. Suddenly, there was a bolt of lightning that lit up the sky in front of her, allowing her to see and avoid an open well that could have ended her life amidst the storm. In sharing with some of the immediate family, I said, “None of us might have been here but for that bolt of lightning.” Yet, God in His great foreknowledge from before “the foundation of the world” had us in mind. We had to be born and His ‘Spirit Moment’ was perfectly timed. Whether We Realize It or Not, Our Lives are Full of ‘Spirit Moments’ that Define Our Destiny.
‘Spirit Moments’ are much like the Unexpected Bolt of Lightning. Suddenly Unexpectedly, a Specific Word or a Specific Direction or a Specific Encounter or a Specific Life Assignment at a Specific Time Totally Changes Our Future!! Seize Those Moments. Share Those Moments. Give Thanks for Those Moments. Those Moments Will Become the Most Cherished Moments of Your Life. Heaven Divinely Visited You!!
Hurriedly getting into fresh clothes and having his hair and beard trimmed in the prison, Joseph was dramatically brought before a waiting Pharaoh and his hundreds of wise men. Upon hearing Pharaoh’s Dreams, Joseph suddenly had a ‘Spirit Moment’ that instantly changed his future and the future of the natural and spiritual world. The Immense Power of a ‘Spirit Moment’ in a Day is Unfathomable. Joseph Went from Prison to the Palace and from Power to Promise in a ‘Spirit Moment.’
The youth David experienced the same ‘Spirit Moment’ as he tended his sheep in the early morning to unexpectedly be sent by his Father Jesse with food for his brothers at the Israel/Philistine Battle. Then, shortly after arriving, he is suddenly unexpectedly alone in front of a few hundred thousand soldiers prophesying to the blaspheming Giant, “This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you…that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.” (1Sam.17:46) The Youth David Seized His ‘Spirit Moment’ and Changed His Future from Shepherd in the Morning to Eventually a 40 Year Kingship in His Later Tomorrow.
All People of Faith have Seized Their ‘Spirit Moments.’ Queen Esther Seized Her Moment. Moses Seized His Moments. Elisha Seized His Moment When He Refused to Leave Elijah Until He Received the Promise of a Double Anointing. Ruth Seized Her Moment. Jacob did the same as he prophesied over his sons before pulling his feet up into bed and dying.
The Prophets Seized Their Moments. The 120 Seized Their Moment on the Day of Pentecost and the Church was Born. Saul Seized His Life Changing Moment in Damascus and became the Apostle Paul. Even John, the Revelator Seized His Moment in Banishment and Exile on the Isle of Patmos. The Book of Revelation that He Received in ‘His Spirit Moment’ has never seemed more relevant than it does today.
The many miracle stories ascribed to Jesus constantly occurred naturally without fanfare. Yet, each miracle turned out to be a Supernatural ‘Spirit Moment’ in God’s History. Amidst this, I am unaware of a greater ‘Seize the Moment’ example than that of Jesus with His disciples in the Upper Room on the Eve of His Crucifixion. What the Father planned from the Ages was about to transpire. The significance of what was to transpire was beyond anyone’s imagination or the disciple’s understanding. Jesus, the unblemished Lamb of God would experience in hours the most horrific death of crucifixion as God’s sacrificial lamb for the Sins of the World.
Yet, knowing all this was just hours away, Jesus dined with his disciples in the Upper Room and actually ate and drank a last meal with them. He conversed and answered questions. Then, something traumatically mind blowing happened. Taking off an outer garment, He went around the table washing the feet of the disciples (including the one who would betray him) in great humility. Finally, He Instituted the Last Supper with the Sharing of the Emblems of His Death. Jesus totally ‘Seized the Upper Room Moments’ Regardless of What was to Come within Hours.
Seizing the Moment is Not for Good Times or Bad Times But for All Times. Seizing the Moment is Being Able to Mentally Block Out Yesterday and Block Out Tomorrow and LIVE in TODAY’S MOMENT. Jesus Granted Us the Greatest Example of this Spiritual Truth in that Last Supper. The Moment He Seized in Prophetically Sharing His Death is the Moment that Millions of God’s Children have Seized through the Ages and Seize Regularly Today in Their Communion Remembrance. Always Remember in Celebrating the Lord’s Supper that Jesus Instituted It as He ‘Seized the Moment’ (regardless of what He faced) and Made It a Prized ‘Spirit Moment.’
Don’t Ever Minimize Your Seized Spirit Moments. These Moments Define Your Life and Life Purpose. Seize the ‘Enlightenment of the Word’ Moment. Seize the ‘Being Led by the Spirit’ Moment. Seize the ‘Being Used by God’ Moment. Seize the ‘Answers to Prayer Moment.’ Seize the ‘Hearing from God’ Moments. Seize Every ‘Spirit Moment’ in Your Daily Life. SEIZE and SAVOR ‘SPIRIT MOMENTS’ as ‘LIFE MEMORY MOMENTS!!’
