Despite the book in the Bible is named "Esther", Mordecai played some of the greatest role. I learned a very notable lesson while studying the book of Esther.

1. Mordecai raised a lady that listens to him. Esther 2:7

2. He saved King Ahaasuerus when there was a plot against him. Esther 2:19

3. He did not bow down to Haman, seeing he was a Jew. Esther 3:2

4. He persuaded Esther to intercede for the Jews. Esther 4:14

Esther didn't know the reason why she was brought into the kingdom, Mordecai opened her eyes to it. She felt it was just for marriage. God saw afar of, and brought her before time, to deliver his people. There are people who don't know the reason why they are in the position they're in, their eyes should be opened to it. If you have opportunity to deliver your people from problems or poverty, do so and don't make silly excuses.

Another notable lesson to draw from the book is the power of fasting and prayer. God made Esther to find favor before the king because she decided to intercede for her people, and they trusted in God and proclaimed a fast. Don't be foolish to think your position can achieve anything without God. Also, for those who have been crying to God for one thing or the other, humble yourself with fasting and come to God. When last did you fast and pray?? Prayer and Fasting can move God faster than you think. Think about it DUKE JUNIOR.
