Topic: "It Is Done" by Sunday Ayodele, Lagos, Nigeria Published Thursday March 30th 2023.

John 19:30 "When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost."

It is finished is an eternal proclamation that has ended every argument and debate over the salvation of those who have received the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is finished means the deal is sealed, the debt is paid, the sacrifice has been offered, the demand of justice has been met; the deal is sealed forever.

The death of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross was a set up; a divine set up that forever put the enemy of the souls of men into eternal jeopardy (1 Corinthians 2:8).
What the devil thought was a victory has turned out to be his destruction forever. The death and resurrection of Jesus destroyed Satan.

Your faith in the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ means one thing: the end of being a slave to sin. The power of sin to make you think and do whatever it likes has been forever broken. You are no more a slave to sin; sin has no power over you (Romans 6:14).

The implication of the breaking of the power of sin in your life is that death has ceased to reign in your life. Death manifests as habitual sin, sickness, disease, poverty, premature death and oppression of the devil.

Where the power of sin is broken the power of death is also broken. Sin brought death to reign over man; righteousness terminates the power of death (Romans 5:12).
As the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus you are totally free. Your salvation has been secured. The issues of your past, present and future has been settled.

You are no longer a slave to sin; you are the righteousness of God. You are empowered to live and do righteously. Nothing about your past can be held against you.
God has no record of sin against you. You are blessed. You are the blessed. You are too blessed to be brought under any curse.

Your faith in the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus has made you more than conquerors. Your past is settled. Your present is settled. Your future is settled. Rejoice!

Think About This: Hebrews 10:12 — 14

But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

Daily Affirmation:
I affirm this day my faith in the death, resurrection and eternal priesthood of the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe that through my faith in the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ I have been made free from the power of sin and death. I affirm that I am at liberty to live righteously and empowered to serve God's purpose all the days of my life. Death has lost its power over me. I am free from habitual sin, sickness, disease, poverty and oppression of devils. Hallelujah. Amen.

Prayer: Pray in the Spirit.

Daily Bible Reading: 2 Corinthians chapter 2.
