Topic: "Get Better By The Word" by Sunday Ayodele, Lagos, Nigeria

Wednesday February 8th 2023 Colossians 3:16 "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."

The secret of quality Christian living and excellence in all of your life's endeavors lies in how well the word of Christ has saturated your heart and mind, and how much of it you apply in all you do. When you fill your heart richly with the word it changes you, causing you to excel in righteousness and prosperous in all you do.

The power of God to effect change is in His word; the richer you are in the word the better you become as a person. The root of your success as a believer lies in what is at work in you. God is only able to do exceeding abundantly above all you ask or think according to the force (power) that is at work in you (Ephesians 3:20).

The volume and quality of the word in you releases the grace of God to work wonders in you and in the works of your hands. The depth of the riches of the word of Christ that is in you releases God to work in you in exceeding abundant measure.

Getting the word of Christ richly into your heart is your personal responsibility. A responsibility that is attainable by the Spirit through diligent studying and meditating in the scriptures and praying always in the Spirit (Psalm 119:11).

The word in your heart will cause you to do right and restrain you from habitual sinful living. The word in the pages of the Bible will do you no good; it is the word in your heart that will change you and empower you to live daily and do as your heavenly Father has ordained that you may be blessed.

Get more and more of the word into your heart daily. Prayerfully study and meditate in it at all times. It will do you a whole world of good. Labour to get the word into your heart. Build a stronghold of the word in your heart so you may excel in righteousness and prosper in all your ways, today and always.

Think About This: Jeremiah 15:16
Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.

Daily Affirmation:
I affirm this day that I have absolute confidence in the ability of the word of God to change me from glory to glory as I behold the image of my heavenly Father through it by the Spirit. I affirm that I can only excel in righteousness and prosper in all my ways according to the measure of the word of Christ that I am able to get into my heart and apply in my dealings. I therefore make a firm commitment this day to diligently and prayerfully study and meditate in the scriptures to get more and more of the word of Christ into my heart. Amen.

Prayer: Pray in the Spirit.

Daily Bible Reading: Acts chapter 18.

You are blessed beyond measure.
