1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Be on the alert. Be conscious of your identity in Christ; and be conscious of the fact that the enemy is against your liberty in Him, and is doing everything he can to pull you down. Be on the look out for Satan's traps and tricks as you engage in the pursuit of fulfilling God's plan and purpose for your life in Christ Jesus.

Satan is a tireless foe; he never gets tired of trying to devour the saints (Romans 8:36). knowing that his time is very short, Satan will always draw on all the tricks in his book to try to derail you from the path God appointed for you to follow in Christ Jesus. It takes vigilance to discern and escape Satan's destructive schemes daily.

Many saints have been devoured by the devil because they did not embrace the diligence of being always alert to his schemes. Being spiritually insensitive and laid back concerning doing the will of God and aligning with His purpose for their lives Satan is able to cut them off the grace of God bringing them into habitual sinful living and death.

As a saint in light you owe it to yourself to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12). Do not be careless; maintain a sensitive heart that is able to see what the enemy is trying to do so you may be able to escape it through faith that is born of the knowledge of the word and the power of the Spirit. Be vigilant today and at all times. You will not be a victim of Satan's devouring schemes. Amen.

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,

Daily Affirmation:
I affirm this day that I understand and know who I am in Christ. I affirm the fact that the wicked one is daily engaged in trying to pull me down because of who I am and all I have been given in union with Christ. I am on a 24 hour alert system of the Spirit and the word to resist the devil and frustrate his wicked plans aimed at derailing me from the pursuit of the fulfilment of my glorious destiny in Christ. I am totally committed to working out my salvation with fear and trembling by the Spirit, to the glory of my heavenly Father, today and always. Amen.

Prayer:
Pray in the Spirit.
