Scripture Reference:
Proverbs 23:7 "For as he thinketh in his heart so is he.

The heart, as used in Proverbs 23:7, does not refer to the vessel that pumps blood in the human body; it refers to the spirit of the mind that dictates consistent thought and behavior of an individual. It is made up of the combining state and activity of the human spirit and mind.

The believer in Christ is commanded to be renewed in the spirit of his mind, because his life cannot be filled with the fruits of righteousness without it (Ephesians 4:23). The spirit of the mind is a product of the collaboration of the human spirit and the mind. It does not refer to the mind as it were.

To be renewed in the spirit of the mind is to get the born again human spirit to work effectively with the mind to enable the believer be and do as God has called him to be and do in Christ Jesus. To not be renewed in the spirit of the mind is to receive the grace of God in vain; it is to make room for the grace of God to be fruitless (2 Corinthians 6:1-2).

The spirit of your mind determines your lifestyle and your testimony. You are as the spirit of your mind is. Your predominant thought influences your behavior and the results you get from the labor of your hands. It is impossible to separate you from the spirit of your mind. It is you.

To be renewed in the spirit of your mind you must fill" your heart with the word through diligent study, meditation and deliberately doing the word (Colossians 3:16-17). Saturate your inner man with the word of grace. Build a stronghold of the word in your mind. Keep getting the word into your spirit until the words of your mouth, your thinking and first reaction to every situation is inspired by the knowledge of the word.

Your health and material prosperity depends on how well you function in your soul realm. God has done all that needs to be done in your born again human spirit. It is your responsibility to get what God has done in your spirit to influence your health and material well being. Do it by relentlessly renewing your mind so it can cooperate with your born again spirit. Get your spirit and mind to work together for your good by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Think About This:
Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Faith Confession:
I am renewed in the spirit of my mind. My born again human spirit and my mind work daily in alignment causing me to excel in righteousness and prosper in all I do. The word of God in my heart influences my mind to convert the grace of God to personal testimonies of victorious living to the glory of God. Hallelujah.

Prayer: Pray in the Spirit.
