Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

There is a marked difference between receiving power to become a son of God and practically being a son of God. Receiving power to become a thing and being that thing are two different experiences. The former is a process of empowerment, while the latter is an act of manifesting as the empowered. You received power to become a son of God at new birth so you may manifest as a son of God in all things and at all times, by the Spirit.

The essence of receiving power to become a son of God is to manifest as a son God. Your human spirit was regenerated, through your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work, to enable you enjoy the leading of the Spirit. Being a son of God isn't just about receiving power to become a son of God; being a son of God is all about being led by the Spirit of God.

Receiving power to become a son of God without being daily led by the Spirit of God amounts to receiving the grace of God in vain. Being born again without being led by the Spirit of God in all things renders the born again experience worthless. The essence of having the life of God in your human spirit is to make it manifest. Having the life of Christ without making it manifest is the same thing as not having the life of Christ in you.

Your sonship is confirmed when you mature into that person who is deliberate in submitting to the Spirit and yields to being daily led by the Spirit of God in all things. Sons of God are those who manifest the life of Christ they received at new birth through the power and leading of the Spirit of God. They are those who realize that they are born of the Spirit and thus must rely on the Spirit to be and do all they are called to be and do in union with Christ.

to lead Seeing that it is only through being led by the Spirit that God can consider you His son you owe it to yourself to learn to yield your heart to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to lead you in all things. Learn to follow the promptings of the Spirit. Make it a habit to study and meditate in the word so you may recognize the voice of the Spirit. Be rooted and grounded in the word of grace; let your heart be established with grace. Pray always in the Spirit to keep your spirit connected to the Holy Spirit.

Regarding his Son, who as to his earthly life was a descendant of David, and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.

Faith Confession: I am born of the Spirit of God. I received power to become a son of God at new birth. I am confirmed a son of God as I walk daily by the leading of the Spirit of God in all things. Hallelujah!
