Topic: Hold Unto Your Faith In The Lord Jesus Christ And His finished Work. Written by Sunday Ayodele, Lagos, Nigeria Friday April 22nd 2022 Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised Faith in God's faithfulness is the key ingredient for a life of consistency and unwavering commitment to following the Lord. To hold fast is to maintain consistency at doing a thing. It means to hold on against all odds; to not quit; to not give up. Faithfully following the Lord Jesus comes with its unique challenges of temptations, afflictions, persecution and reproach. These things come at you at an alarming rate because of your faith in Jesus Christ and all He has done in you and for you. They come at you to weaken your resolve, and to try to make you give up your faith in the Lord. The scriptures teach that the afflictions of the righteous are many, but that the Lord delivers him from them all (Psalm 34:19). The Apostle Paul wrote that we may be cast down, yet we are not destroyed (2 Corinthians 4:9). The power that keeps you from falling is by far greater than that which seeks your down fall. Greater is He that is at work in you than he that is in the world working to cause you to fall from grace. The Lord God is fully backing you as you run your Christian race daily. Run with confidence knowing that He that called you to obtain a glorious inheritance is faithful to keep each and every one of His promises, if you overcome. Do not be tired. Do not allow the challenges and distractions of this life slow you down; refuse to quit the race of eternal life; keep your eyes on the price. Be mindful of God's faithfulness to fulfill His promises to those who run their race and finish their cause. Be energized in your spirit; be resolute in your commitment to win the race. Keep studying and meditating in the word. Keep praying in the Spirit. Keep doing the word. Maintain fellowship with other believers. Be faithful in your commitment to your church. Run your race; run with your eyes fixed on the Lord Jesus Christ. Let nothing distract you from winning your race. You will win. Think About This: Hebrews 12:1-2 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Faith Confession: My faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and all He has done in me and for me is alive and well. I draw strength from God's faithful love and mercy towards me daily. I am committed to running my race of eternal life daily. I refuse to be distracted by the things of this world. My heart and mind is set on running my race till the end, to the glory of my heavenly Father. Hallelujah! Prayer: Pray in the Spirit. Daily Bible Reading Revelationion Chapter 5 |
