"You Cannot Earn It; It Is The Gift Of God."

Topic: "You Cannot Earn It; It Is The Gift Of God."
Written by Sunday Ayodele - Monday 14th March 2022.

Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God"
Understanding salvation as a free gift of God releases faith to walk in the goodness of the Lord rather than trying to please God by self-righteous efforts. A gift is a reflection of the mindset of its giver. Being done of free will it reveals how much the giver values the relationship he has with the receiver as well as communicate the need for the receiver to sustain it and make the most of it.

God's gift of salvation is an expression of His desire to build a lasting intimate relationship with you through your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He has freely offered you this gift to let you know He is committed to you as well as for you to enjoy the benefits of His grace without trying to resort to your own righteousness.
The fact that salvation is free a gift makes practicing righteousness that is born of good works unnecessary. You don't have to labor to earn right standing with God; He has given it to you as a gift. Seeing salvation as a gift frees you from doing good to be righteous and allows for you to bring forth fruits of righteousness by the power of the Holy Spirit who dwells in you.

Stop trying to earn righteousness through your good works; focus your heart and mind on bearing fruits that show that you have been made righteous through your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. What the Lord desires to see in you are fruits that accompany having His righteous nature. You have been made righteous through your simple faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; stop trying to earn the free gift God has offered to all men.
You will never be able to bring forth fruits of righteousness as long as you focus on trying to earn right standing with God by doing good works. It is very easy to bear righteous fruits when you understand that you already are righteous through your faith in the Lord Jesus. Yield your heart and mind to the Holy Spirit today so He can help you bear righteous fruits in all you do to the glory of God.

Think About This: Philippians 1:9-11 "And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment. That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God."

Faith Confession:
I am a fruit bearing branch. I am fruitful. I draw life and nourishment from the True Vine. I am totally dependent on the Lord Jesus Christ and all He has done in me and for me to be righteous and prosper in all I do. I am blessed and highly favored because I am in union with Christ. Hallelujah!

Prayer: Pray in the Spirit.
