Topic: Love The Lord By Sacrifice. Monday 13th December 2021. By Sunday Ayodele, Lagos, Nigeria We love him, because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19. The key to loving the Father is understanding how He loved us. The way He loved us is the way to loving Him. The Father loved us first to enable us love Him. His love for us is a pattern we are called in Christ Jesus to follow to love Him on a daily basis. Loving the Father must be based on His terms. You cannot love Him your own way. God is Spirit. You cannot love Him in a fleshly way, because He is Spirit. You cannot get emotional or romantic with Him. He is Spirit. It is because He is Spirit that's why you are called in Christ Jesus to worship Him in Spirit and in truth. God loved you by sacrificing His Son to deliver you from the power of darkness and translate you into the kingdom of His dear Son. He loved you by sacrifice; you are called in Christ Jesus to love Him by sacrifice. Loving your heavenly Father by sacrifice is your reasonable service. Anything less than loving Him by sacrifice is not reasonable. You are loving the Father by sacrifice when you seek first His kingdom and His righteousness. You are loving the Father when you present your body to Him as a living sacrifice holy and acceptable unto Him. You are loving the Father when you favour His righteous cause by investing your time, money and energy into advancing His kingdom through soul winning. It is only through loving the Lord by sacrifice that your walk with Him will profit you in this world and in the one to come. Give your all to please the Lord. Do not hold back. Prove your love for your heavenly Father by sacrificing all that you are and have for His glory and praise, today and always. Think About This: And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake, who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting. Luke 18:29-30. Faith Confession: I love the Lord. All I am and have are His. My understanding of how He loved me while I was a sinner has given me wisdom to love Him daily. He loved me by sacrifice. I love Him by sacrifice. There is nothing I have that I have not placed at His disposal for His glory. I am all His and His alone. Hallelujah! Prayer: Pray in the Spirit.
