"Merry Christmas Thoughts" - by Terry L. Blakey
Mark
Good Christmas Eve morning! This marathon from Thanksgiving to Christmas has come like a world class sprinter and feels like a new world record. Are you ready? I am not sure why but we are maybe for the first time ever. Now we are waiting.

I am hoping for a short day of work. We have a full schedule for this evening and later. I have heard Santa is coming to town and I have heard he knows if we have been good or bad. Which will it be??

I have enjoyed reading the book of Luke this month. In chapter 1 an angel came an predicted the birth of John and Jesus. Chapter 2 Jesus was born. “Today in the city of David a Savior was born for you, who is the Messiah, the Lord.” (Luke‬ ‭2:11‬ ‭CSB‬‬) In chapter 23 Jesus is arrested, tried, convicted, and crucified. “And Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I entrust my spirit. ” Saying this, he breathed his last.” (Luke‬ ‭23:46‬ ‭CSB‬‬)

Now in chapter 24, the women went to where Jesus was buried but didn’t find His body. “While they were perplexed about this, suddenly two men stood by them in dazzling clothes. So the women were terrified and bowed down to the ground. “Why are you looking for the living among the dead?” asked the men.” (Luke‬ ‭24:4-5‬ ‭CSB‬‬) This has been a good journey reading and getting a better understanding of how and why Jesus came and who He is! I pray we all know Him!

I hope however you celebrate Christmas you are blessed! God is good!!
