What a great day and a great time to be alive! God has blessed and continues to bless us everyday! Today has been set aside as Thanksgiving. God has blessed me with my family and a church family that love Him. Out of His abundance He has blessed us! We will have a feast and feast on what we prepare will last for a few days. “Rejoice always, pray constantly, give thanks in everything; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 CSB) These three words, always, constantly, and everything has meaning! I hope today we take a few minutes to reflect on all we are thankful for. As for me I give credit to my Savior and my God. In Deuteronomy 15 a slave had to be set free after seven years. “But if your slave says to you, ‘I don’t want to leave you,’ because he loves you and your family, and is well off with you, take an awl and pierce through his ear into the door, and he will become your slave for life. Also treat your female slave the same way.” (Deuteronomy 15:16-17 CSB) This song explains how I feel about being enslaved to God. Pierce my ear, O Lord, my God Take me to Your door this day. I will serve no other gods, Lord, I'm here to stay. For You have paid the price for me With Your blood You ransomed me. I will serve You eternally, A free man I'll never be. I hope your Thanksgiving day is blessed! Happy Birthday to Connor! God is good!! Terry L. Blakey [ NOTE: You can hear this song on YouTube by clicking this short-link at https://youtu.be/... ] .
