Good Saturday morning! - by Terry L. Blakey
Mark
Good Saturday morning! It is good to wake up, drink some coffee, and not rush through my time reading and being with Jesus, God's son. The joy and the peace that comes from this relationship. “When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. Because of his grace he made us right in his sight and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.” (Titus‬ ‭3:4-7‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

Yesterdays traffic was a mess and at the end of my work week all I wanted was to get back to where I park the truck and go home! So with the slow traffic and an accident my frustration started building along with some anxiety. I wasn't being unsafe but being loaded and weighting 102,000 lbs made driving a little for of a challenge also. 3 1/2 hours from Woodinville to Maytown (Olympia), 90 miles. When I finally made it to Maytown I was telling another driver how long it took and she told me it was a fatality accident. After hearing that my frustrations seemed petty compared to the loss that the family of the one who died.

We have plans for this weekend. They are to proceed with what we started last weekend, cleaning the garage, some mowing, and an oil change. Should be a relaxing weekend.

I hope your day is full. “Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:16-18‬ ‭NLT‬‬). One of my favorite verses. I need to remember it when stuck in traffic!
God is good!!
