| This is a great lesson on what it means to be truly successful, not as the world sees it, but as God sees it.The lesson goes on to tell just what we may have to risk in order to be successful, such as alienation, pride, and so on. Paul accepted his ministry as a trust between him and Jesus - and as a privilege to share the Gospel. It became Paul's personal mission to succeed - he was willing to pray for opportunities, cultivate relationships even with those -society- considered to be of no value, and plant the seed of our Lord's word. Most of all, he realized that once the seed was planted ( which was his part of the job ) it would be up to God to provide the increase. Norm mentioned 5 steps of Planting the Word: 1 - Letting the Spirit of God work. 2 - Being Selfless. 3 - Showing Compassion. 4 - Giving GOD the glory for all that results. 5 - Trust God completely for the outcome. This is a wonderful lesson, I hope you enjoy it. |
