The power of God can either draw us to him in awe, wonder, obedience, and love or it can push us away from him in fright of his judgment. Spiritual Fear of God led the early disciples to do miraculous things bringing salvation, restoration, and glory to God. Others living in Fear of Man or Fear of Death in the first century chose to flee God and trust in their human power and strength. We will face suffering, pain, and loss, but in Christ we do not have to fear death. In Christ we can have confidence and assurance in the resurrection. With our eyes on God we can have the faith to allow the power of God to work in and through us as a response and testimony of the great love of Christ. What are you afraid of?
