(Wave is very good for other stuff) SUMMARY: Finding peace and finding rest in this world is a difficult thing. We are loaded down with difficult things it seems. Palestine was occupied by Roman forces. They were mean and punishing to the people. Jesus saw this, and had compassion for them. He said "Come to me all that are weak and heavy laden, and I will give you rest." How do we find the rest we need? We go to the grace of Jesus - "Unmerited favor" as the word "grace" is defined. How can we experience i8t? By accepting God's forgivness. Some think they have done hurtful acts so bad God would never forgive them. But that is not true. God is forgiving, not keeping a record of our sins, God is grace continues to cleanse of of them. This is HUGE. Our forgiveness is a gift of God. Norm pointed out how Daffodils are a sign of Spring and of hope. I (Mark) can remember driving to Powers and seeing a square of Daffodils out in a pasture... bearing witness to how at some time, decades or more ago perhaps, a house stood there. And throughout all that came afterwards, they remain just as our faith does. If you really want to make God angry, DON'T TRUST HIM!
