He is the Christ the son of the living God who said that he will build his church and the gates of Hades will not overcome it, yet he says he will have to suffer, be killed, and be raised. Jesus is the king affirmed by God who will suffer at the hands of men. Jesus is generous, gracious, and abounding in love, who hold everyone equal in his kingdom, yet he will be betrayed by even the chief priests – who show allegiance to the kings of the world over his rule and reign. Jesus is the servant of all, who gives his life, providing a way for everyone, even those who reject, deny, oppose, and are outside of his kingdom because of sin, to find a way in because of his love.
