| This was a really interesting sermon that talked in detail about the human aspect of Jesus, and how He was fully human while at the same time being fully God. It is our goal to be as much like Jesus as possible, and even though we can't be the "fully God" part of what Jesus was, we can do our best to be what the "fully human" part of Jesus was while He was on earth. The lesson goes on to tell how Jesus is the revelation of God, and the image of God as well. Jesus is the firstborn and the creator, and that which holds everything together. Likewise, Jesus is the head of the church, since the church is His body and the church is sustained by Him. It is Jesus that reconciles us to God, and that reconciliation has the purpose of presenting us whole and perfect before God. I'm sure you'll like this lesson as much as I did. |
