| Lesson Description: *Advance the Gospel* is based on Philippians 1:12-21 Paul didn’t see his imprisonment in Rome as a set back to the spread of the kingdom of God because he always had his attention on Christ. His situation forced him to adapt his strategy which actually served to advance the gospel and encouraged more to share the life of Christ. Paul shows how the exaltation of Christ is what keeps the mission of the church strong and successful. What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger.
