| THE KING - a sermon (MP3) by Bryan Johnston - I've not received his "official" description of it yet, but hey -- they're all great! Drawn from the first chapter of John as its basic text, Bryan also spends some time discussing just when Jesus is to believed to have born in a very interesting way. He discusses calendars, seasons, dates, and all those things people have pored over through the centuries. After that, he goes into the actual heart of the lesson in John 1, how Jesus has existed as part of the Trinity from the very beginning, being the "Word" when John 1:1 cf says, "1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it."
