| Drawn from scriptures Matthew 6:25-34 and others: It is human nature to dwell in the past and worry about the future. Disciples can lose the joy of the present life with God when they focus on the regrets of the past and become fearful of the future. Jesus knows that when we have possessions and are blessed with worldly treasures we will become less grateful, less hopeful, and less dependent on God. The disciples are reminded to not worry about their life and always remember that they are children of God. They have a good father who loves them, feeds them, and clothes them. God holds his children in high value as his treasure.
