| Answering the call to follow Jesus is choice to obey the command to “Go and make disciples.” The Lord calls followers to align their lives with his kingdom. The Lord’s kingdom is one that will always stand and will never be overcome. The power of the gospel is what makes a disciples salvation secure. Obedience to the gospel is accomplished through baptism and liberation from death to life is possible through the gift of the Holy Spirit. Prior to the Lord’s ascension Jesus calls his followers to be disciple-makers, by going into the world, baptizing, and teaching others to obey. God is with us and we are not alone. As the church we must work together to fulfill this command so that those we know and love will share in the fellowship of Jesus and the saints.
