| Sermon: Big Bad Wolf Scripture: John 10:11-15 Who is there for you when the day of evil comes? In this passage Jesus says I am the Good Shepherd and I lay down my life for the sheep. In comparison to the unfaithful and unrighteous religious leaders, Jesus is faithful. All others will flee and abandon the flock when the wolf attack, while Jesus will stay. Jesus owns the flock and he is responsible for their flourishing. He is the Good Shepherd because he is willing to give his life for his flock. He is the Good Shepherd because he will serve and care for his followers. He is the Good Shepherd because he will help restore life after a storm. All followers are to be prepared and ready when the wolf attacks. The day of evil will come and when it does will your house stand? Will the Lord be your foundation? With our lives built on the solid rock of Jesus Christ not even the gates of Hades can overcome it. |
