| This "lost file" from 2007 by Norm Russell is about how Jesus was never without a crowd when he traveled. Some were curious, some needed him , some just wanted to know more. Jesus was not like hte pharisees, Jesus came to serve, not to be SEEN SERVING and be admired for it as the pharisees did. Jesus became almost like the "Pied Piper of Hamlin" story, only with people instead of rats. This lesson is about how the crowds followed him, and what he was trying to teach them about what would be required of them to become disciples, which discouraged them (and the disciples) somewhat.... realizing that Jesus had to take precendence over family and EVERYTHING else. It's a really good story. Also includes a segment on discipline, explaining how God uses His discipline of us to shape us more towards the image of Christ. It is a VERY good lesson, and although recorded 10 years ago, carries a timeless message. |
