| Sermon Summary 4/30/17 Title: All Who are Thirsty: Worship Scripture: John 4:16-26 Jesus says to the woman at the well, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water” (John 4:10). She responds saying, “Give me this water.” Jesus exposes her heart knowing that she doesn’t really know who he is. Jesus is wanting to lead her to believe that he is the Son of God. Upon truly knowing him, he desires for her to submit to him as Lord. Jesus accepts her worship on the basis of her submission to him. He pleads for her to confess him as Lord. Once Jesus is Lord of your life, the only proper response is Worship. |
