| Sermon Summary - The Road: Urgent Return Luke 24:33-35 Once the disciples recognized and realized that Jesus the Messiah was risen, they urgently returned to Jerusalem. They left immediately to bring this good news of hope to the others disciples of Jesus. They could not allow their friends and fellow disciples live another minute without the knowledge and truth of their risen Lord. We all have people in our lives who are in need of the hope of Christ. Let us not hesitate to wait to bring them the good news. It may begin with a conversation around a table sharing a meal and life together. These conversations can happen in natural settings and with those we already have relationship with or they may be interjected as an intervention. Cleopas and his friend were not expecting their companion to be the Lord, they were intervened by the Lord with the breaking of the bread. We have opportunities every day to intervene. Are we living lives that demonstrate the love of God and that are ready to share God’s word in such a way that the lost become saved. Let us not wait. Let us urgently tell others about Christ.
