| Sermon Summary - Dec. 25, 2016 Prelude to Jesus the Messiah: Receive - Matthew 4:12-17 Let us come and worship the king. The Savior Christ Jesus has been born. Immanuel has come to us. Jesus is the light that has come to shine in the darkness. For all those living in doubt, fear, shame, or separation from the Lord are living in darkness. For those who are outside of the kingdom of God are walking in darkness. Praise the Lord a light has dawned, the Savior has been born and has come to shine light and life into the darkness. The light has come to bring hope, salvation, and a future. As Jesus begins to preach he says, “Repent for the kingdom of heaven is near.” The king of mercy continues to show patience. The gift has been given. Receive Jesus, the Son of God, as your Lord and as your king! The Lion of Judah, the Lamb of Glory!
