| (NOTE: There is 30 seconds of silence at the beginning due to a microphone problem, Norm started over when it was discovered) John 12:12-19 Jesus is making an entrance into Jerusalem unlike any her has made before. It's springtime in Palestine, and its a time of excitement. It's also Passover, and it's said that the area was swelled to 3,000,000 people. Jesus arrived there at this time on purpose - it was no accident. (Note - lesson explains Passover) Resurrection of Lazarus occurred then also. Chapter 12:10-11 tells that Lazarus' life was also in the balance. It is important to note that Jesus arrived riding a donkey, not a glorious horse or the like. He arrived humbly, as He came to serve in humility. This one point - humility - is something we all need to pursue, and this lesson goes into the details of how to develop it and why we need it. |
