LEARN AT HOME LINKS FOR KIDS - Familyspot.US
I've set up a special page on my teaching website to keep kids learning while they are out of school. There are well over 100+ links to sites offering FREE lessons for all ages.

This link will take you to the Learn At Home page of my site, Feel free to use any other resources you find there as well. NOTE: THIS IS A .US site, NOT A DOT-COM, a common mistake.

ABC Mouse - Early Learning
DIrected to kids ages 2 to 3rd grade, this AMAZING site has a vast amout of learning resources available. You can try it out for free, and then decide if it is worth the $59 annual subscription (3 users). TEACHERS!! You can get a 40-user "school account" at NO CHARGE! Just fill in your name, school info, etc and you'll be up and running in minutes. Multiple teachers can share the same com puters by *linking* their logins. See the site for more info. We have used it at our school for a long time with great results and I have my grandchildren using it at home and school. The site is scalable, so if you have say a 2nd grader that's learning slower than others it is not a problem.

The current news, world events, etc. but written at a child's level of understanding. The site is very well done.

PARENTS - GO HERE - Are You A Digitally Savvy Parent?
THIS SITE IS FOR PARENTS: (Curious kids also welcome) how to set up and maintain a secure online environment and set of rules and guidelines for your kids. Some of these are common sense, but in the ever-evolving world of the Internet, I STRONGLY recommend that you visit here and at least scan over the information. It's VERY good. KIZI.COM (Kids games, not a TV station)
A HUGE number of online games and videos for children. I'm a computer-tech instructor Kingsview Christian School, and have about 100 students. All classes seem to like this site a lot, ranging from K-8th grade.
