In God We Trust by Norm Russell

Every piece of our currency carries the words "In God We Trust" with it. Those words were put there by acts of congress and date back several decades.
But do we trust in God? I am having some doubts. A study showed that 49 percent of the American people believe America's best years are behind her. That is a staggering number. Is it any wonder that we are witnessing apathy and depression in our country?
Trusting in the dollar to provide us a living and securtiy is a dangerous way to live. Thousands lost money a few years ago when the stock market went south and never regained it. People have trusted in their jobs to provide income to support their family only to find that their employer, who was also trusting in money, could no longer provide them with employment.
Turning to the government will not help because eventually it too will run short of funds and it will be necessary to make cuts.
We need to return to trusting in God. I am convinced that our nation will once again see good days. However, it will never happen with our misguided trust in our currency.
