Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world.

Thought: I was going in a different direction with my thought when I lost my page. As I re-read the verse the words come from God jumped out at me. We are charged with testing those who speak to us, whether they are Elders, Preachers, Teachers or just fellow Christians. Make sure what you are being taught comes from God. As you test them you also will learn and grow in the Spirit. Remember Satan is always out there trying just as hard as he can to lead you in another direction.
