In 1984, a movie was shown on the big screen called "A Place in the Heart" starring Sally Fields. For her role as Edna Spalding, she won an Oscar for best actress. On the stage, receiving her award she uttered the memorable line, "I can't deny the fact you like me, right now, you like me."

I have no idea what prompted that response. Was she, or had she felt that she was unliked? Whatever the reason, she at least for that moment felt some liked her and her Oscar was proof of that.

Everyone knows that God loves everyone. But does everyone know that God loves them personally? I think that the greatest disconnect of all time is that there are people who believe that God does not love them. That God has certain people in the world that He loves because of their status, behavior, or wealth. Nothing could be further from the truth. You were created in the image of God. His desire is to see you in heaven. He sent Jesus Christ to a cross to make it possible for you to be with Him in eternity.

God loves you, the individual and if you ever doubt that, look at the cross.
