Disruptions! Don't you just hate it when something, or someone, barges into your day uninvited? You have lined out your week, and your day is fully packed with errands, appointments and meetings. Just as you settle into your routine, you get a disruption. It demands only a moment of your time (yea right). Now your whole day must be recalibrated. Have you noticed that those moments of interruption never come at a convenient time? If you spend some time reading your Bible, you will find that God always seems to break into peoples lives at the most inconvenient time. Everyone of those disruptions have found the person busy doing what they normally do on any given day. There are some things that I have found when it comes to those pesky moments of interference. It may very well be that God is trying to get my attention to tell me something I needed to know. It also may be someone is in a crisis and their need is greater than my schedule. Leave room in your day for God to use you to minister and you can be assured He will. If you resist leaving some space for Him He just might barge in anyway. |
