Vanishing Vapor - James 4:14

Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.

Thought: We know not how long we will live. Long or short? But we who are in Christ do know one thing. We have a home in heaven with God. Yesterday our brother in Christ Ken Earley went home and though we grieve for the friend we lost we know the promise of a home in heaven with Christ he has.

Because God and Christ willingly gave so much that we might have that promise is a great gift and we must not squander it away. However the gift is not free. We need to do our part to receive it. We need to make the most of the time we have here for we never know when we will be called and I know I surely want my name in the book of life. Don't you?
