Minute Message 2-4-12 - "Phone Calls"

I made a couple of calls this morning and got answering machines and automated voices. One voice even informed me their offices would be closed for Thanksgiving. I do not know if they were speaking of last year or this year.

Do you remember when you were on a “party line”? You along with several of your neighbors shared a phone line. Of course this created several problems such as people listening in on your conversation, or one of the parties refusing to get off the phone so you could make a call.

Communication has changed. Now you have the post office competing with e-mail, and online banking. The phone company is in competition with the cell phone industry and even travel agents have been replaced in some areas by the internet. It is hard to keep up with the changes. Just about the time we learn how to communicate with the latest gadget, someone comes up with a new one and we start all over. But there is something that never changes-prayer. You will never find God being too busy to answer. Jeremiah 33:3 says, “Call to me and I will answer you.”
