Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him.

Thought: First off I am not advocating that anyone beat their child or anyone else for that matter. However, we all need discipline in our lives, young or old. Whether it be in correcting wrongs done or other areas of our lives discipline is key. Just how disciplined are we in our daily walk with God. Do we spend time with him each day? Do we share His love with others during that day? It all comes down to that one word. Discipline.
The dictionary gives us a few examples: Instruction, a teaching, learning; training that corrects; perfects the mental faculties or moral character; control gained by enforcing obedience or order. If we read our Bible we will find we have all the tools we need for the disciplined life God wants us to be leading.
