Abide in what you hear. 1 John 2-24

Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father.

Thought: We are being told to continue in our faith in these verses. To stay faithful to what had been taught from the beginning. In verse 26 we are warned about those who would try to decieve us. They start with small changes in what we believe making us think they are of no real signifigance to God. Slowly but surely they change your way of thinking and before you know it your following man not God. Satan and his followers are devious and subtle we must always be on guard. Do that by going to church, fellowship with like minded Christians and study your Bible, it is God's inspired word.
