But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe. Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law. Thought: The Mosiac law teaches us a great many things. We can read the Old Testament and learn much. Back then, sin was terminal, you sinned you died. Now we have a new opportunity to come to God thru Christ. Thru our baptism we have been buried and risen in him to walk in a new light. We still need to put our best foot forward and follow the bibles New Testament teachings. But unlike under the old law we have God's grace and forgiveness of sin if we repent and ask for that forgiveness. Don't wait apoligize to those you have sinned against. Ask their forgiveness and especially ask God for that forgiveness. He loves His children and will forgive us. |
