For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Thought: To make our faith complete we need works. Without works it becomes imperfect. In earlier verses James was telling them how Abrahams faith was justified by his works and how his faith had been made perfect. We too should do our very best to follow Gods word and be an example of our faith through our works.
