Praise be to God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade-kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

Thought: Through our baptism we have been reborn into Christ. We are now God's children and as His children we have a special inheritance set aside, reserved just for us. We have a hope for eternal life, a place in heaven with Him. This inheritance purchased at a great price will not decay or fade away. It is reserved, set aside for us always. Above all do not turn your back on your inheritance, squander it or toss it aside. It is more precious than anything else you will ever possess.
