Counting Sins? Psalm 32:2

Blessed is the man whose sin the LORD does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit.

Thought: Deceive: (from the dictionary) to ensnare, to be false, to fail to fulfill, to cause to accept as true or valid what is false or invalid.

Sounds like Satan to me. He sometimes comes boldly and sometimes quiet, like a thief in the night. We let him in thinking he is a friend and find out to late he is not. We have sinned.

Isn't it wonderful to know that as Christians we can go to God in prayer, repent, and ask forgiveness for those sins. God not only forgives us for those sins, He does not count them against us. God erases those sins, they are forgotten. Some say it's unfortunate we remember them. Maybe not, if remembering them keeps us from repeating them. But we do need to let them go, do not dwell on them, God doesn't.
