Be careful not to do your "acts of righteousness" before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

Thought: What's your motivation? Are you looking to do a good thing for someone or are you just trying to look good in front of others. There is a big difference in why and how we do what we do. A nice gesture or assistance to someone in need does not need to be bragged about to others. God sees and knows your heart on the matter.
