| Sermon Summary 1/29/17 *Walking and Talking* Scripture: Luke 24:13-16 The tomb was found empty leaving every disciple to wonder. Luke’s post-resurrection account picks up in verse 13 of chapter 24 with two disciples walking to Emmaus talking about all that had just happened in Jerusalem. Jesus had been crucified, buried in a tomb, and now the tomb was found empty. Jesus comes up and walks along with them, but they are kept from recognizing him. What keeps us from recognizing the presence of the risen Lord in our daily lives? How do we forget that Jesus is among us and with us through the gift of the Holy Spirit? The challenge of this message is to acknowledge the Lord’s presence in our lives and to speak his name and voice into our daily conversations.
